YAMUNOTRI - GANGOTRI - KEDARNATH - BADRINATH ( 10 Nights / 11 Days )

Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 : ARRIVE HARIDWAR
  • Pick up from Haridwar Railway Station, and check inn to Hotel. Haridwar is the Gateway of ChardhamYatra. Upon arrival check inn into the hotel. Evening attend The Ganga Arti at famous Har Ki Pauri (by your own). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 : HARIDWAR-BARKOT / SAYANACHATTI
  • After breakfast leave for Barkot via Mussoorie. En route visit Kempty fall. Upon arrival check in into the hotel, rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Barkot. Acclimatize yourself to start a trek Yamnotri from JanakiChatti
  • YAMUNOTRI: Yamunotri temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Yamunotri is the source of revered river Yamuna which originates from the Champasar Glacier lying 1 km ahead of the shrine situated at an elevation of 3235 mts above sea level. The approach is extremely difficult and pilgrims therefore offer Pooja at the temple itself. Yamunotri was the home of an ancient sage Asit Muni. The most important of these is Surya Kund. DivyaShila: A rock pillar, worshiped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.
Day 3 : BARKOT -YAMUNOTRI – JANKICHATTI – BARKOT (38KMS/2HRS DRIVE & 6KMS/3HRS BY FOOT)
  • Departure to Hanumanchatti (32 kms / 1.5 hrs). Later take a local jeep to Janakichatti to shorten your trek by 5 Kms. Proceed to Yamunotri temple by walk / pony / doli. Return to Barkot. Overnight stay.
  • Yamunotri here can cook rice in GaramPanikund. Tourist take this cooked rice to home as "Prasad". "Pooja" can be offered to DivyaShila, after taking bath in JamunabaiKund's (HOT WATER) and having "Darshan" of pious "Yamunaji”.
Day 4 : BARKOT – UTTARAKASHI /GANGNANI (140 KMS / 07 HRS)
  • After breakfast leave for Uttarkashi visit KashiVishwanath Temple and drive to Gangnani .Evening free for leisure. Dinner & overnight stay at Uttarkashi.
  • UTTARKASHI: Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated between two rivers; Varuna and Ashi, whose water flow into the Bhagirathi from either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 meters, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of temples and ghats and likewise, a north or ‘uttar’ facing river.
Day 5 : UTTARKASHI / GANGNANI – GANGOTRI –– GANGNANI / UTTARKASHI (120KMS / 05 HRS)
  • Early Morning start driving to Gangotri via Hars -hil. Upon arrival at Gangotri, take a Holy Dip in the sacred Ganges. Offering prayers & Poojadarshan , later drive back to Uttarkashi, en route visit Gangnani.Overnight stay at Gangnani/ Uttarkashi.
  • GANGOTRI: Gangotri temple is 18th Century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga. It is located near a sacred stone where king Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot.
  • GANGNANI: Further up on way to Gangotri, is the hot water spring at Gangnani, where one can have refreshing bath in the kund called Rishikund. There is a temple near the kund dedicated to the Sage Parashar, believed to be the father of VedVyas.
Day 6 : UTTARKASHI - PHATA / GUPATKASHI (250 KMS/ 8-9 HRS)
  • After Breakfast drive PHATA / GUPATKASHI. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7 : PHATA / GUPATKASHI – GAURIKUND – KEDARNATH – PHATA / GUPATKASHI (10 KMS/ 1/2 HRS & 16 KMS / 6-7 HRS)
  • Early hours proceed to Sonprayag (4 Kms.) then to Gaurikund (5 Kms.) by Govt. Jeep. and later Proceed to Kedarnath (17 Kms.). After Darshan / Pooja at Temple, return to hotel. Overnight stay.
  • Pilgrims by Helicopter: Early morning proceed to Sirsi / Phata / Guptakashi Helipad to Kedarnath Helipad. Later, proceed to Kedarnath Temple by walk (1 Km.). After Darshan / Pooja at Temple, return to Helipad to board the Helicopter back to hotel. Overnight stay.
  • KEDARNATH TEMPLE: The present temple built in 8th Century A.D. by Adi Guru Shankara-charya lies adjacent to the site of an ancient temple built by Pandavas. The temple has a conical lingam – the main idol, a statue of Nandi – the celestial bull, a ‘GarbaGrah’ for worship and a man dap for assemblies of pilgrims an d visitors. The temple is more than 1000 years old.
Day 8 : PHATA / GUPATKASHI – JOSHIMATH
  • After breakfast proceed to Joshimath. Overnight stay at Joshimath.
Day 9 : JOSHIMATYH – BADRINATH – JOSHIOMATH (280 KMS/ 8-9 HRS)
  • After breakfast Drive to Badrinath, have darshan and puja at Badrinath, and drive back to Joshimath, dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.
  • Badrinath: Cradled in the twin Mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan is the holiest of the four main shrines – Badrinath along the left bank of river Alaknanda with the towering Neelkantha Peaks as the splendid backdrop.
  • VyasGufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where VedVyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.
Day 10 : JOSHIMATH – HARIDWAR
  • Morning after breakfast drive back towards Haridwar en route visit Rishikesh, on reach Haridwar we will drop you at preferred point for your onward journey.
Day 11 : HARIDWAR LOCAL SIGHTSEEING OPTIONAL
  • You can Visit “MAA CHANDI” “CHANDI DEVI MANDIR” which is just 7kms from the main haridwar city, after darshan back for lunch at the most popular restaurant of haridwar “HOSIYARPURI” after lunch when you walk just 10minutes there you got the “Ropeway” for “MAA MANSA DEVI MANDIR” ( By your Own).
